What does Primary Care mean to you?
A Primary Care Physician (PCP) is in a sense, “your regular doctor”. After residency, family physicians are well-skilled in many areas of medicine due to our comprehensive exposure to all major areas in medicine. Specifically, as the first contact physician, we treat chronic conditions, provide acute care, and also wellness and preventive services. Because of our diverse training and comprehensive professional services we are capable of providing efficient care for a great many ailments, virtually all of them treated “in-house”.
Dr. Yates and her staff also interact with your specialist physicians to coordinate your medical care. Many insurance companies require that patient referrals to specialists are placed from their primary care physician.
Continuity of care should be a priority to anyone concerned about their health or the health of their loved ones. Why see a physician one time when you might never see them again? Dr. Yates, a West Texan, is a thorough Lubbock doctor who takes the time to get to know her patients, their health issues, and their concerns.
Returning patients can count on Dr. Yates and her staff to be mindful and caring on each visit.
